Sound on the Ground is a sculptural work with an accompanying sound installation called Happily, which explores the question of what constitutes a story with a happy ending. Visitors can discover an mp3 player on the ground, connected to a hidden speaker via Bluetooth, almost as if it had been dropped or forgotten. By touching the screen of the mp3 player, visitors can activate a selection of sounds. Each sound is based on a text written by Swan Lee or quoted from another author and transformed into an intro song with lyrics in ever after. A machine voice narrates two stories - Suicideshop (feat. jean teule) and summsummboombomb_mixdown - with a theme song for both stories called theend.
