Fountain Project
The process of creating the sculptural project, Aquanura, followed a strict schedule: Swan Lee and Julian Ernst exchanged the respective fountain-shaped sculptures with each other every other week, taking turns working on them individually, without any other communication than what had happened with the sculpture. In the pot as a form, their individual artistic/visual language and narration mix with that of the other. It functions as a stage to explore the moment of cooperation and collaboration, how can varied sculptural and aesthetic interventions converge in one object.
The show, Aquanura can only be viewed from outside through the show window. According to a time schedule, this fountain show ran with the programmed special- and lighting effects. During the show, Julian Ernst and Swan Lee came on stage as technicians who control the machines and effects.
